Hoeveel magnesium per dag?

De aanbevolen dagelijkse hoeveelheid (ADH) magnesium varieert per persoon. Voor een volwassen man is de ADH 350 milligram, terwijl het voor een volwassen vrouw 300 milligram is. Voor zwangere vrouwen en kinderen gelden andere hoeveelheden. Hieronder vind je een tabel met de aanbevolen dagelijkse hoeveelheden magnesium voor verschillende groepen:

Waar zit magnesium in?

Magnesium komt voor in diverse voedingsmiddelen. Het is te vinden in volkorenbrood en andere volkoren graanproducten, groenten, noten, melk en melkproducten, en vlees. Daarnaast kan ook water bijdragen aan de magnesiuminname.

Which sweeteners do you use?

Yummygums contain the sweeteners stevia and maltitol. Stevia is a natural sweetener extracted from the leaves of the stevia plant. Maltitol is a sugar substitute that provides 75-90% of the sweetness. It is derived from maltose (malt sugar), which comes from wheat or corn. This sweetener has almost the same properties as sugar but is much healthier! Maltitol contains very few calories, is better for your teeth, and has less impact on your blood sugar levels.

Maltitol is a safe sweetener. When evaluating sweeteners, the effect on pregnant women is also considered. The Nutrition Center indicates that sweeteners, including maltitol, are not harmful. Moreover, Yummygums contain only a small amount of maltitol. So, you don't need to worry about this sweetener.

Can I recycle the Yummygums pots?

Yes, indeed! If you remove the label, the Yummygums pots are recyclable. The transparent pots are made from rPET. An rPET pot is made from recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET). It might sound complicated, but essentially, it consists of previously used PET plastic. This makes our new pots 100% recycled and recyclable! Very responsible indeed.
